Samit Abdi, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Samit Abdi, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Open Mind Psychiatry, which has locations in Richardson, Texas; Palmer, Arkansas; Oregon City, Oregon; Alexandria, Virginia; and Yakima, Washington.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis, Samit worked in both the pediatric intensive care unit and nursing education. During her time caring for critically ill children and their families, she recognized a growing need for mental health services. This realization led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. 

Now a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Samit provides psychiatric care to the geriatric population in assisted living communities and offers virtual care to patients across the lifespan. Her goal is to provide holistic, compassionate care that supports patients in achieving overall wellness.
